What materials can be etched on?

§         A wide variety materials can be etched.  Granite, slate and marble in dark colors are popular - a high level of detail and contrast can be achieved. Lighter colors of some these stones can also be used, hand coloring can be done as well for a beautiful effect. 

§         Other products include tile, glass, mirror, leather, wood, acrylic, aluminum, and stainless steel.

       What size and shape of materials can be used?

§         A single piece up to approximately 4'x8' can be accommodated.  Single tiles or multiple tiles in a grouping can be done.  If the project is larger, it can be completed in sections and installed together – for example a wall or floor mural of an image could be 6x12 ft or the size of an entire room – any size that is needed.  Ask us about any specific requirements.       

§         Any shape can be used as long as it has a flat surface to be etched on.  Some materials come in rectangle, oval, circle or heart shapes.  Almost any depth can also be accommodated.

      What types of images can be used?

§         Almost any image is a candidate for laser etching. Corporate logos, portraits, photos, and artwork all work well.  If you do not have an image to provide, we have a vast library of images to draw on, or can work with you create a truly unique piece.

§         The better the initial quality of the image, the better the output.  Digital images with high resolution, or larger photographs are ideal.  A simulation picture of the final product can be provided before the etching is completed to give a realistic view of the finished product. 

§         For use of copyrighted images, permission must be granted from the owner (artist or photographer in some cases) before it can be used.  There may be a fee from the owner to use a copyrighted or licensed image.  Ask us for more details. 

      What are the various applications for laser etching?

§         Etched images can make a very dramatic statement or a subtle accent to any environment.  A feature such as a beautiful mural, floor accent, fireplace surround or sign can be completed, or a common theme can be carried in a home or individual room using various materials.

What is the cost and delivery?

§         We would be happy to provide a quotation on any project you may be considering.  Options on sizes and materials, image possibilities and installation considerations can be provided.

§         Delivery lead time is generally 10 days, advise if a quicker turnaround is required and we will try to accommodate.

§         Shipping can be provided to any location.  Additional packaging will be done to lessen any chance of damage.

    What about installation?

§         We work with a number of woodworking, flooring, tile and glass professionals to ensure the etched image is beautifully installed in your environment. 

§         Working with your builder, contractor or supplier to have them install is also an option.
